New York City - Tribute in Light - World Trade Center

—-

Sometimes it’s just the way

the light catches the eye;

and how it pours itself

up to the sky

watering the stars

and universe

with dreams

and hope,

every speck

of light

wrapped

in memory

and remembrance.—-With love to New York City on a day of healing.

New York City - Brooklyn - Bushwick - Night

Dancing with the shapes

on the walls,

the night’s music

wraps itself

around the day’s memory

as Bushwick

dreams another

night away.

New York City - Night - Times Square from Above

At night,

while we soar

through the streets,

flying past buildings,

navigating through

alleys below,

the city soars

along with us,

its neon lights

pulsating to

the night’s

heartbeat,

streets winding

like synapses

as we

dance in

each other’s

dreamscapes,

This is a 2.5 second long exposure taken with my Sony A7R while I was high above Times Square at midnight one night. Truly a breathtaking view.

It always struck me as an odd topic, particularly since I have always approached my photography as a means to express emotion and mood rather than a way to highlight technical prowess.

It’s difficult to say that there is one right way to approach art since all art is subjective. It’s important though to figure out what you are trying to express. Are you trying to express a…continue reading here…
