readingny asked: Just wanted to say I love your photos. I reblogged one the other day and noted that you take pictures of things in the city that it seems many other photographers consider non-photo worthy; or maybe they just don't see them. These also happen to be the things in New York that I love more than anything. Maybe I just don't look at enough photography blogs, but you stand out to me as...

shonnaraebell asked: I just wanted to drop by and let you know that as a songwriter, whenever I hit snags in my writing or even get completely blocked, I scroll through your photos to reignite my creativity. Works every time.

Thank you!

stinkyy asked: I've wanted to see NY all my life and your blog just makes me want it even more and I am tempted blow everything that was saved for a car on a trip there. I hate cars anyway.

Do you know of any decent but pretty cheap places to stay around the area , and how much would you recommend to set aside for a week long trip?

giulia asked: thank you for showing the real new york, the city i love and the city i feel is often misrepresented in other mediums for being obnoxious and a thousand other ugly adjectives. my new york is beautiful and incredibly full with rich details and history. i find my new york when im alone walking on 10th street in the quiet beginnings of a blizzard, or passing a tree draped in vines and christmas...

silllybean asked: WOW I just wanted to say that I absolutely love your tumblr. I am from southern California and have ALWAYS wanted to go to New York! ...some day! I also love photography, so your blog is the best of both worlds.

Whenever I finally go to New York, my sisters and I will definitely try to go to the best restaurants and shops. In your opinion, where should we visit for the best...

midnightopus asked: Hey! I'm currently studying in France but I will move to NY this summer. I'm already doing my homework on the city (I'm following you after all =) but I'm still wondering what the best place to live would be? A district that's not terribly expensive but not too gloomy either? Somewhere with a nice atmosphere...

quietlyoutgoing asked: New York is my favorite place in the world, and I probably go at least twice a year. (Even though I'm from Northern New Jersey, about twenty minutes from the city...so you'd think I'd go in more often...)
But this blog is simply beautiful, and it truly shows a beautiful appreciation for the beauty that is NYC. Fantastic photography, truly.

waitingtobelit asked: I don't know about the cupcakes, but I had a white chocolate fudge brownie from Magnolia and it was seriously the best thing I have ever had. Go try that next time!

thesesquipedalianist asked: sorry to flood the inbox but for that other person who mentioned i grew up on magnolia bakery and it's not ALWAYS amazing (have to agree with you there, it's like a novelty [like Koronets pizza on the UWS] if you're from far away or visiting). it depends on what time, when you go, and what they have personally i like buttercup bakeshop but i'm trying to find more places...

outsetisland asked: Magnolia cupcakes are shit! they are made by factories and are dry and tasteless. GROSS! Haha anyways, you should try Butter Lane cupcakes! They are AMAZING! I took a class there and managed to get all the recipes and they're SO unique and delicious! Go to butterlane.com to see more! And no, i don't work there, but i just love them!

imrobduh asked: I agree with you about Magnolia. I would like to recommend Buttercup bakeshop (my personal favorite). Both locations are equally delicious! :) (upper west side and midtown east)
